A Perl script which can be run automatically by your server that will continually monitor a Domain Name's availability and alert you by e-mail as soon as it becomes available.

N.B. This script will only work on a Linux/UNIX server.

  • An extremely easy script to install. Just open the file, edit a few variables and upload to your server
  • Set up a cronjob to automatically run the script - this can be a often as you like. If you are unsure about this you can ask your web host
  • Wait for the status of the Domain Name to change

Each registrar takes a different view of automated whois searches. We take no responsibility for any action the registrar may take. However, we are confident that if you keep the frequency of searches to a reasonable level you should have no problems.
